Barrett Olafson

Barrett Olafson is the project manager for Spark's livestock enteric methane mitigation program, currently managing and supporting Spark's stakeholder engagement, industry and policy organizations, roadmapping, and convening efforts across the enteric field.

He joins Spark with over 15 years as a product and engineering leader in the web and application development space, leading projects for the Bank of New York, The Emmys, and several multinational brands including Carhartt, Levi's, Under Armour, and Leatherman. His experience includes the development and management of distributed product and technical engineering teams across the globe.

Barrett’s formal education includes Meteorology, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics from Florida State University. He has over 30 years of coding experience, with increasing attention towards Web3, Blockchain, and AI/ML. He lives in Pittsburgh, PA with his family and enjoys all things gardening and homesteading whenever possible
